Jane heads Bird & Bird’s IP Group in Sydney and brings over 25 years of experience in complex patent, trademark, and design litigation.

Her practice spans life sciences, higher education, and technology sectors. She frequently lectures on IP issues and advises clients on IP strategy, commercialisation, and enforcement.

Alison has 24 years’ experience advising pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients on regulatory, licensing, and R&D agreements.

TJIBBE DOCUMA

Partner, Amsterdam

Tjibbe focuses on high-end, multi-jurisdictional patent disputes, particularly before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and EPO.

He has represented clients such as Dexcom, GSK, and KPN in landmark UPC cases, including the first ex parte preliminary injunction in Milan.

Recognized by Chambers Europe and Legal 500, he received the Client Choice Award for IP–Patents in the Netherlands (2020, 2022).

MARK HILTON

Partner, London

Mark is Co-Head of Bird & Bird’s International Life Sciences & Healthcare Group and specializes in patent litigation in pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, biotechnology, chemicals, and medical devices.

With over 25 years of experience, he has led complex multi-jurisdictional disputes and helped develop Bird & Bird’s online litigation management tool.

He is an associate of CIPA and a member of the Law Society of Ireland.
